Inter – House Swimming Meet

Loos house emerged victorious at this year’s Inter-House Swimming Meet, with Dale and Nixon battling for 2nd and 3rd places. We congratulate all our enthusiastic swimmers, artistic swimmers, water polo players and young Flipper Ball players for their hard work and dedication to the sport. It was also encouraging to see the artistic swimming item performed by our SEU students. Our heartfelt thanks to the coaches, sports teachers and SEU teachers who trained all our girls for their events.

We also thank our Chief Guest, Ms.Tanya Perera, for making the time to attend this event and encouraging us with her presence and advice. She is a seasoned Technical Analyst in the IT industry with over 21 years of experience in banking and investment systems. An accomplished breaststroke swimmer, she represented Sri Lanka at the 1986 South Asian Games, won 3 bronze medals and 1 silver medal, and broke the national record in the 100-metre breaststroke event. As a former Swimming Vice Captain, she led the school to many victories in the swimming arena during her tenure, while also excelling in athletics and badminton and serving as the Vice-Captain of Dale House. We were truly honoured by her presence with us this year.

We also thank the past LC Swimming Captains for their tireless efforts in maintaining a high standard of swimming through the years. It was an honour to felicitate them as we continue to celebrate our legacy of 125 years. Well done, everyone!
