Founded in 1900 by the Church Missionary Society (CMS), Ladies’ College Colombo 7 is one of Sri Lanka’s leading private Anglican Christian Girls’ Schools, with a proud legacy spanning over 125 years. Established with a vision to provide holistic education rooted in Christian principles, the school has grown into a vibrant institution serving approximately 2,000 students from nursery to advanced level.
Our founder, Miss Lillian Nixon believed that Ladies’ School must be a place of:

While maintaining its foundation, Ladies’ College embraces diversity, welcoming students of all religions and ethnicities. Applications for admissions open for various grades during different times of the year, and we encourage those interested to check our website regularly as the relevant application form will be made available only during that time.
Nursery & Grade 1 (2028)
Nursery & Grade 1 (2028) applications will be issued at the school office from September 7, 2026 to September 11, 2026, from 9:00am to 1:00pm.
Application – Rs. 3,000 (payable in cash when collecting the admission form).
Eligible Age Categories
- Nursery 2+ – 2+ years on 31st January 2028 (DOB: 01st February 2025 to 31st January 2026). Only children of Old Girls working full-time, who have had their entire school career at Ladies’ College.
- Nursery 3+ – 3+ years on 31st January 2028 (DOB: 01st February 2024 to 31st January 2025).
- Nursery 4+ – 4+ years on 31st January 2028 (DOB: 01st February 2023 to 31st January 2024).
- Grade 1 – 5+ years on 31st January 2022 (DOB: 01st February 2022 to 31st January 2023).
Grades 2 to 10 (2027)
A self-made application should be sent by registered post to the address below during the following period: August 1 to September 30, 2026.
Local & British Advanced Level (2029)
Open to students who complete their O/Ls in December 2026.
A self-made application, along with copies of the Grade 10 & 11 reports, should be sent by registered post to the address below during the following period: January 15 to April 30, 2027.

- Applicants are shortlisted according to set criteria.
- Submitting an application form does not ensure an interview.
- All successful applicants will receive a letter or an e-mail, while unsuccessful applicants will be notified via e-mail.
- Payments related to admissions (admission fees, refundable deposit & PTA membership fees) must be made directly to the designated bank account.
- No one is authorized to collect money for or on behalf of Ladies’ College.
CANVASSING IN ANY FORM WILL BE A DISQUALIFICATION.
