The Sports meet is the foremost inter house competition of the year where the houses vie for the inter house challenge shield.
This is where the children exhibit their athletic prowess in an atmosphere of friendly rivalry. This is where special talents are recognized for future development. Team events designed for the less agile provide a chance for them to participate and score for the house.
A March Past of the sports women and even non playing members of cheer groups and artistic students who decorated the house tents to increase the score for the much coveted House Challenge Shield, make everyone part of a big family.
“The back garden” where all ages feel at home still continues to be the venue when other schools have moved to sports stadiums or club grounds for such events.
This feeling of community amply exhibited in the sports meets justifies the decision of Ms Simon to continue holding the event on home ground.
